Chill City Pops
A Virginian entrepreneur came to me looking to create a brand for his new popsicle business with a fun and whimsical tone that wouldn't alienate his built-in clientele and gain a new demographic.
Chill City Pops is a new business venture based out of Lynchburg, Virginia specializing in handcrafted, organic, and locally-sourced popsicles. CCP caters to both the average pedestrian with a fun and energetic vibe while also renting out carts to special events like weddings and music festivals. The branding incorporates a retro 1930s “rubber hose” style that gives a sense of nostalgia to the older demographics while also being fun for the younger ones by giving them characters to recognize. This is combined with a bold, two-tone color palette that incorporates a rustic, authentic feel while still feeling clean. The combination of a restricted color palette and wood textures serves to make the carts and store more prominent while also staying subdued enough for events.
